The Honours Project
The Honours Project is an autobiographical story about my mindset when I was studying my final year at University and is an entirely solo development project.

My supporting research focused on the effects that audio can have on player experience when supporting narrative. Specifically looking at voice acting, environmental storytelling and music. Investigating deeper into player experience, I wanted to find out how audio can enhance narrative immersion and emotional storytelling.

I released the game on Steam and it currently has a 95% rating with 42 reviews.
Heldritch Rush
This game is still currently in development. I coordinate a team of 12 on a part time and voluntary basis. I act as Project Lead, Producer, Audio Designer and Composer.

We have showcased the demo at EGX and Comicon in London in 2024, The Edinburgh National Museum of Scotland for their Game on Event. We have showcased 4 times through 24/25 at the Ninja Kiwi sponsored Drop in and Play event at the Dundee Contemporary Arts Center.
Awarded a chrome productions award for best DARE academy game of 2024.

MAX MSP Projects
These videos show some of the fun things I did while using Max. The first video shows a simple setup which triggered audio and changed the colour pixelation on the camera feed. The second shows a simple randomized drum loop. My initial idea was trying to find a way to create random sounds using only your hands. This turned into a theremin like 1D tracking tool that can trigger audio and alter its pitch and speed.

Given more time, the webcam theremin could be developed further and become a powerful tool to change the way sound is created. It too opens up possibilities regarding accessible audio creation.
Hero's Spirit is a Short film by a group of students in 4th year at Dundee University. I was hired to compose the music for their project. The music was a funk track, based around that genre of music in the 60s/70s.

I don't own the rights to the video content so below is a preview only of their work and some of the composing I did to accompany it.
